Data Collected by the PawzTails Device To provide the core functionalities of the PawzTails pet care experience, our hardware device collects specific real-time data when active. This includes:
Precise Location Data: The collar uses onboard GPS to continuously or periodically track your pet’s physical location.
Audio and Visual Data: The device is equipped with a camera and audio sensors (PDM). When activated via the mobile app, the device may capture, transmit, and temporarily store images, video feeds, and ambient audio from your pet's environment.
Activity Data: The onboard IMU sensors track movement, resting periods, and general physical activity levels to help monitor your pet's health and behavior.
How We Use Device Data We use the data collected by the PawzTails collar strictly to deliver and improve our services to you and your pet. Location data is used to provide real-time tracking and virtual boundary alerts (geofencing). Audio and visual data are utilized solely to allow you to monitor your pet remotely through the PawzTails mobile application. We do not sell your device’s location history, camera feeds, or audio recordings to third-party data brokers.
Data Security and Retention We take the security of your pet's data seriously. Video, audio, and location data transmitted between the PawzTails collar, our servers, and your mobile device are encrypted. We retain this data only for as long as necessary to provide our services. For example, live camera feeds are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers unless explicitly saved by the user within the app.
